The Acer Aspire F 15 F5-571T-569T comes with a pretty simple design. The minimalist design is impressive when you first look at it. The build is not metal but seems to be made of durable plastic. It doesn’t bend much, though. The looks are way more premium than the way it feels. That is to be expected in a budget device, right?
Inside, you are greeted with a full keyboard and a trackpad. The keyboard is not a backlit one. The keys are well spaced and have sufficient travel. The trackpad is not the best thing about this laptop, and that pretty much tells how good it is.
With dimensions of 15 x 10.1 x 1.1 inches, the laptop weighs around 5.3 pounds. This is not the most compact laptop out there but still can give you company if you don’t mind the extra weight. Overall, for a budget device, this is a very well designed product from Acer.
Acer Aspire F 15 F5-571T-569T Specs
The screen here is a 15.6-inch screen that comes with a resolution of 1366 x 768 pixels. This is not a super high-end screen but does the basics right. The colors are decent and the picture quality is good enough. The display is better suited for watching movies, tv shows, streaming videos online, and other media consumption as well.
The touchscreen does a world of good here. With a mediocre trackpad in place, you do need an alternate way to interact with the onscreen elements. The touchscreen fills that gap beautifully. It is easier to navigate and use the entire OS with the touchscreen, and that’s a big plus.
The processor the fuels this Acer Aspire F 15 F5-571T-569T laptop is an Intel Core i5 chip. This processor is built with the Haswell Architecture and has a clocking frequency of 1.7GHz. Even with a lower clock speed, the processor manages to get good benchmark scores. You can get more power with the help of turbo boost when your situation demands it.
You can run any application you want without having to face any lag. This processor is perfect for doing your everyday work as well. Checking mail, playing music in the background, browsing your social media, streaming videos, working on office files and even gaming happen flawlessly with a chip like this in command.
The memory in this laptop consists of 8GB DDR3L RAM. This is the perfect memory for a mid-range user. You can multitask to your heart’s content. Even running multiple apps at the same time won’t slow the system down and that’s a good thing. You only have to worry if you plan to create videos or run virtual machines on this laptop. Otherwise, this memory will do fine for you.
The hard drive in this laptop is both good and bad. It comes with a storage space of 1TB but with a speed of 5400RPM. Though it may not be that fair to ask for a faster hard drive in this price range, we can’t deny the fact that it is slow. You may want to upgrade it to an SSD, but that’s up to you.
In everyday usage, you may not even notice the speed difference we are talking about. But if it does, we suggest you do the upgrade. The hard drive also comes with Windows 10 pre-installed. This is an excellent operating system with a touchscreen in place, and you will love every bit of it.
You can do some decent gaming with the Intel HD 5500 graphics card. It is not an integrated graphics card, but it does a fair job in running mid-range games and even some high-end games. In most cases, you will be forced to reduce the settings a bit for getting a decent frame rate.
Battery life here is okay. With light usage, you should get around 4 hours of usage which is not bad for the price. With proper optimization, you might be able to squeeze more out of the battery.
