The laptop has a nice design. It comes in black with the usual texture that we are used to on an ASUS laptop. The logo is right in the middle, and it does look premium. On opening the laptop, we can see that the lower half is in silver with a black keyboard.
The keyboard is a full on with a number pad on the right side. If you work with numbers a lot during the day, then you will find this very useful. The trackpad is a very decent one, but miles to go if you compare it with that of the Macs.
There is an HD webcam in the front that allows you to make video calls at 720p to your friends and family. The laptop is not that heavy at around 4.9 pounds, and that makes this a very good laptop for travel.
ASUS F555LA-EH51 Specs
The screen we have here is a 15.6-inch HD screen that comes with a resolution of 1366 x 768 pixels. The pixel density is just okay but the picture quality is decent and something you can work with. You are not going to get wide viewing angles as this isn’t an IPS display. But you can use this display for work, media consumption, and other stuff as it is well suited for that.
The processor in this laptop is the main reason you might want to get your hands on one. The ASUS F555LA-EH51 comes with an Intel Core i5 processor with a clock speed of 2.2GHz. This clock speed can be improved up to 2.7GHz with the help of turbo boost.
What’s good about this processor is that it belongs to the Broadwell generation. This i5 5200U processor is well equipped with enough power to handle all your workload without a sweat. You can run any application without stressing the system, and that’s important for a lot of people.
The RAM in the memory department is only 8GB and is of DDR3 type. This is the right amount of RAM you can expect in the laptop that falls in this price range. This RAM is also good enough for most of your multitasking needs and runs multithreaded applications like a boss. There is only one RAM slot so that upgrading might be an issue for the future.
The 1TB hard drive gives you enough storage space for your songs, movies, pictures, games, videos, and all other stuff you treasure. This is not the fastest HDD out there but gets the job done. They could have included an SSD, but that surely would have increased the overall cost of the laptop.
The operating system here is Windows 10 and it comes pre-installed in the hard drive. This is the latest OS from Microsoft and it comes with some really awesome features like Cortana, Edge, and other ones as well. If you hated Windows 8, then you will absolutely love this one.
This is not a gaming laptop. It has an integrated graphics card in it and with that you can do some decent gaming. You may not be able to play all the latest and the greatest out there, but this laptop can surely handle some good mid-range games with enjoyable graphics.
Battery life is decent at around 4 to 5 hours depending on the type of user you are. There are also connectivity ports like USB 2.0, USB 3.0, HDMI, and other essential ones. The laptop also supports wireless internet (WiFi) and Bluetooth 4.0 as well.

We hope this ASUS F555LA-EH51 review gave you some idea about this new notebook. This is a neat laptop with good hardware and an even better price tag. If you are in the market for a mid-range laptop that doesn’t cost much, get this one.
