The laptop comes in a darker shade of grey and has a good, solid build. It looks and feels premium, and you would expect that with this price tag. But being an ultrabook, the emphasis here is on portability and compactness. This is one of the most compact and portable notebooks on the market. It weighs 2.6 pounds and with a small form factor, you can take this one anywhere you want.
The keyboard and the trackpad are pretty decent. They are not the best out there, but definitely manageable. The fact that you have a touchscreen makes up for the mediocre trackpad. Now, navigation on the screen is a lot easier, thanks to the touchscreen display.
ASUS ZenBook UX305CA-DHM4T Specs
Let’s talk about the display first. Here, we have a 13.3-inch screen that comes with a QHD+ resolution. The resolution is better than your regular QHD and comes at 3200 x 1800 pixels that lead to an excellent pixel density. With an IPS panel beneath, you get very wide viewing angles at around 170 degrees that are good enough for modern day needs.
The display is well suited for media consumption. Be it HD movies, streaming videos online, checking your social media accounts and even playing games, this screen is great for all. Even for simple reading, the texts are very sharp leading to a superior visual experience.
The processor that powers this ASUS ZenBook UX305CA-DHM4T laptop is an Intel Core M3 6Y30 chip. This is a dual-core mobile processor that is made exclusively for mobile devices like this one. This is a passively cooled processor, and so we don’t have any fans on the device.
You can do your everyday tasks with this processor. It might also give you the horsepower you need when you need to do something heavy. The 8GB RAM in the memory department assists the processor in every way possible and leads to a smooth overall experience. You can not upgrade the memory later, so be careful in choosing the right variant. 8GB should be fine in most cases, though.
The graphics card here is an integrated on. The Intel HD Graphics 515 is a decent GPU though it is an integrated one. Skylake chips have better graphics performance and with this GPU, you will be able to play some really good games on the market right now. You may not have great luck in running the latest and the greatest games, but this is not a gaming laptop anyway.
One of the best features of this ASUS ZenBook UX305CA-DHM4T model is the storage. You get a 256B solid state drive, and that is an excellent option. This drive is so fast, and when you get used to it, there is no going back. The operating system boots up in seconds, apps open and close faster than ever before, and the overall performance is also super quick.
Ultrabooks are known for having excellent battery life. This one here is no different. You can easily get around 8 to 10 hours of battery life with light usage. Even with some heavy usage, you will still get around 5 hours which is not shabby at all.
This is a thin laptop, but the good new is that it still manages to give you all the essential connectivities. There are a couple of USB 3.0 ports and a single USB 2.0 port. There is also an HDMI port that will come in handy as well. if you use SD cards a lot, then the media card reader will be useful more than ever.
ASUS ZenBook UX305CA-DHM4T Review: Verdict
This ASUS ZenBook UX305CA-DHM4T ultrabook is an excellent laptop for the price. It gives you a well-designed laptop with enough power. If you are on the search for a compact, powerful ultrabook, this is a pretty good option.
