The laptop in itself looks amazing and flawless with the lightly textured gunmetal grey chassis that adds a touch of class to the design. This laptop may be made of plastic, but it sure doesn’t feel like plastic – it’s robust and shows little signs of flex, even when it’s under pressure.
The compact size is a nice fit using the 360 degree hinge. When it’s folded up into tablet mode, it feels nice and easy to use. The built-in palm rejection is a nice fit for digital artists and graphic designers that are needing a touchscreen they can bend. If you don’t already have one, you’ll need to get a stylus as this doesn’t come with the laptop.
Dell i5368-0027GRY Specs
The display we have in this laptop is a 13.3 inch one with 1920 x 1080 pixels. When viewed from the right angle, the display is really good.
The keyboard and touchpad is great. Every key is responsive, making word processing a breeze. The full-sized keyboard takes up a large amount of space, but there are no complaints here. However, if you have large hands, you may still find them a little cramped, which is a problem with most laptops. With the touchpad, two-finger scrolling, and general web browsing should be easy as it is perfectly responsive and the integrated mouse buttons aren’t that big of a problem either.
The Intel HD 510 integrated graphics card makes it hard to enjoy games like Battlefield 4 and GTA 5 – with those, the FPS will be around 20, even if you have it on low settings. However, if you go for Minecraft, you’ll have playable frame rates. The same is true for other mid-range games as well.
This Dell i5368-0027GRY laptop runs on an Intel Pentium chip. Some believe those processors are slow, but this isn’t always the truth. This laptop offers 2.1GHz clock speed with its dual-core model. The CPU Mark Tests come in at 3000 points. This is similar to many Core i3 processors of the 5th generation, so it can definitely withstand your daily dose of videos and web surfing.
As far as the storage goes, you have a 500GB 5400RPM hard drive in this laptop – you don’t have a 1TB HD, but that’s okay for many. Many people like to get SSD, and unfortunately, with this laptop, you’re not going to have this option unless you upgrade yourself. Then again, if you’re a casual user, you will more than likely be fine with the current hard drive.
The 4GB memory isn’t a whole lot, but the notebook has two RAM slots. This means you can upgrade it to 16GB if you like.
Looking at the ports on the Dell i5368-0027GRY, you will get a total of three USB ports. One of those ports is the USB 2.0 and two of them are USB 3.0. Networking takes place via the single-band AC Wi-Fi card with Bluetooth 4.0 support. The video output is the lone HDMI, allowing you to plug a television or PC monitor into it.
As far as the battery life goes, you will get up to 5 hours and 30 minutes of continuous video playback – turning the screen brightness down should extend the battery life on the laptop.
On the top bezel, there’s a 720p webcam, making it great for Skype sessions with your friends and family members. You should also know that the laptop does not contain a backlit keyboard.
Dell i5368-0027GRY Review: Verdict
Most people who have purchased the Dell i5368-0027GRY have been happy with it and it’s not hard to see – the price won’t break your bank account and you’ll have Full HD screen and decent performance. The a/c WiFi is a good eye catcher, There are more pros to this one than there are cons. For someone looking for a decent 2-in-1 in a budget, this laptop is a solid option.
