The first thing you should know about this laptop is that this is one big laptop. If you are looking for something more compact, this definitely isn’t it. The laptop carries the familiar design language that we’ve seen in HP laptops for a while. It looks classy and feels a bit premium as well.
When you open the laptop, you are introduced to the full-size keyboard and the trackpad. The keys are of chiclet-type and are well spaced. The touchpad is decent fro everyday use. There is an HD webcam in the front that can be handy for making video calls.

HP 17-p110nr Specs
This is touted to be a multimedia notebook more than anything else. So you would expect a pretty neat display. This 17-inch HD+ display is exactly that, to an extent. It comes with a resolution of 1600 x 900 pixels. The picture quality is excellent if you’re not used to other high-end displays.
There are minor issues as well. The viewing angle is not that great. If you are sitting straight with the laptop, the picture is perfect. But when you move away, you don’t get the best picture around. This is pretty common in this budget, but still is a minor con.
The HP 17-p110nr is run by an AMD A6 6310 processor. It is a quad-core processor that comes with 1.8GHz clock speed. This processor is not as powerful as other processors in the market. It is an entry-level one and is great for everyday tasks like office work, web browsing, multimedia, and other similar stuff.
Don’t underestimate the processor, though. It comes with a PassMark score of around 2373, and you will be pleasantly surprised at what this processor is capable of. It can even help you with some high-end applications as well.
The 6GB DDR3L SD RAM takes care of the memory. This is a decent amount of memory in a budget device like this. You can do a lot of stuff at the same time without having to worry about slowing down the laptop. If you are a multitasker, then this will just take your multitasking to the next level.
The AMD R4 graphics card is an integrated one is a good enough for light and mid-range gaming. If you are a casual gamer, then you won’t have to worry about anything. This notebook will play even some graphically intense mid-range games if you are willing to bring down the settings.
For storage, you get a 750GB 5400RPM Serial ATA hard drive. You can load up all your movies, songs, videos, pictures, and other valuable stuff without any restriction. This is a slow hard drive by modern day standards, but you won’t notice it much.
The operating system is Windows 10. This latest OS comes with some striking features like Cortana, Edge browser and much more. It would have been great with a touchscreen, but you still get a satisfying user experience with this OS.
A Lithium-ion battery makes the battery pack in the HP 17-p110nr notebook. You can get around 4 to 5 hours of battery life for light usage. If you want to work on something more resource-intensive, expect less. Nothing to worry about, though.
