HP Pavilion 24-b010 Review

HP Pavilion 24-b010 review

Welcome to this HP Pavilion 24-b010 review. Desktop computers are not created equally and that’s a fact. This is something you have probably noticed if you’ve been looking around for a good computer. Speaking of a good computer, the HP Pavilion 24-b010 might just be a suitable option for you, but first, we feel it is only right that you learn about the desktop in order to make sure it’s the solid one for you.

Design

This is a nice little all-in-one computer that is quite stylish, to say the least.  The slim and beautiful design make this desktop PC idea for setting on your desktop. The big AIO PC is great for watching Full HD entertainment, Internet browsing and handling daily computer tasks.

HP Pavilion 24-b010 Specs

HP Pavilion 24-b010 desktopThe display in this all-in-one PC is a nice 23.8-inch monitor.  It’s great for watching movies on, because it has nice features, like Full HD resolution and IPS panel – both of those make for great image quality and good viewing angles. So the next time you pick a movie to watch, you don’t have to be right in front of your display.

We also feel the need to mention the fact that this is a touch display. This is important these days as Windows 10 comes as a touch-optimized operating system. There’s also a webcam located on the top screen bezel that you can use to video chat with your family and friends.

The processor in this all-in-one desktop is decent, but it’s not extremely fast. It’s a dual-core AMD A9-9410 and has a clock speed of 2.9GHz. It’s new, but comparable to the i3s that come from the fourth and fifth generation. Yet, despite it all, you can have multiple tabs open, while running YouTube videos and some beefy software. However, it’s not a true power user processor.

The memory section is good – there’s 1x8GB DDR4 RAM installed in it. The maximum memory you can install here is 16 GB. This might sound a little restrictive but 16 gigs can help you do a lot of stuff.

If you’re looking for good data storage, this all-in-one desktop is good. This desktop PC contains a 1TB hard drive spinning at 7200RPM speed. With a hard drive this big, you’ll be able to fit a lot of data before it fills up. Of course, most desktops in this era have a hard drive this big, so it’s not that interesting of a feature, but it is good to have.

There’s more…

Unfortunately, if you’re a hardcore gamer, the HP Pavilion 24-b010 may not be that much of a great choice for you. This desktop has many cool features in it, but a dedicated graphics card isn’t one of them. The graphics card contains a Radeon R5. This is in the same league, or even slower than the Intel HD chips. This means you won’t be able to play games like Fallout 4 or GTA 5 on this desktop. However, you can play World of Warcraft and Minecraft.

This desktop PC has two USB 2.0 ports and one USB 3.0 port. It also contains one USB-C port. You also have an HDMI-out port, so you can easily hook up a secondary monitor. For networking with a cable, you can use the LAN port (RJ-45), but it also has a built-in WiFi adapter for wireless networking.

There’s a tray-load DVD burner installed in this desktop and it does have a memory card reader that supports SD, SDHC, and SDXC formats.

HP Pavilion 24-b010 Review –  Verdict

If you are looking for a decent All-in-One desktop, then the HP Pavilion 23-b010 might just be a right option for you. It has plenty of storage space and RAM. The processing power is also quite good. The nice 24-inch display that is  equipped with Full HD resolution is great for multimedia activities. All in all, with a price like this, it’s a pretty neat computer, which is why we are recommending it to you right now.
