The laptop looks neat when it comes to sheer looks. It’s not the best-looking laptop out there, but would still pass the test. The build is made of plastic but is durable. The laptop, with dimensions of 16 x 13 x 2 inches, weighs around 4.8 pounds. This makes this laptop easy to take it along with you.
The keyboard on the laptop is full-size one. It has dedicated number keys on the right which should be handy for those who work with numbers a lot. One thing to note is that the keyboard is not backlit. The trackpad is also usual stuff. There is an HD webcam that is perfect for video calls with your friends and family. You can also use for security purposes with the right software.
Toshiba Satellite C55-C5270 Specs
The display on the Toshiba Satellite C55-C5270 is a 15.6-inch LED-backlit one that comes with a resolution of 1366 x 768 pixels. This is also a widescreen display and it comes with the right aspect ratio which makes it easy to consume media on. The display is also nice for work. You can open a couple of windows side by side on this widescreen and so more at the same time.
The laptop is powered by an Intel Core i3 processor. This i3 4005U processor is a 4th generation chip that is based on Haswell architecture. It clocks at 1.7GHz, and there is no turbo boost to make to go any further. This might look like an older chip, but it can do a lot more than that.
The processor for everyday activities like browsing the web, checking on social media, office work, listening to songs, editing photos, and much more. If you are going to do something more intense like video editing, then there might some hiccups along the way.
There are eight gigs of RAM in the memory slots. This is sufficient memory and will help you do a lot more with what you have in hand. You can run more apps at the same time. There is provision for you to upgrade the memory to a maximum of 16GB.
We have a 1TB Serial ATA hard drive with an operating speed of 5400RPM. This gives you ample storage space to load all your stuff in this mechanical hard drive. The HDD is not that fast when it comes to boot up speed and app loading time. But that is what you can expect in this price range.
The graphics card in the Toshiba Satellite C55-C5270 laptop is an integrated Intel HD graphics chip. This HD 4400 GPU is a decent one but is not made for high-end gaming. If you are in browser games, then there won’t be any problems. If you want to play AAA titles, then this graphics card is not made for that.
There are many connectivity options here. The laptop comes with USB 3.0 and USB 2.0 ports. There is an HDMI port that can be useful for high-end connectivity. There is also a DVD drive that supports 11 formats and can be quite handy as well.
Toshiba Satellite C55-C5270 Review: Verdict
The Toshiba Satellite C55-C5270 laptop is a neat Windows laptop that comes with a decent set of specs for the price. If you are looking for a simple 15.6-inch laptop without any bells and whistles, this one is a good choice.
