This Toshiba laptop comes in brushed black. It is huge, thanks to the 17.3-inch screen, but will be a good choice for those who love big screens. On opening the laptop, you are greeted with the screen, keyboard, and the trackpad. The keyboard has a nice finish. There is a dedicated number pad for those who use numbers a lot.
The trackpad is a regular one, and you should be fine with it. The HD webcam above the screen is a good one for making video calls. On the left side of the laptop, you have an Ethernet port, a USB port, and a DVD drive. On the right side, you have a media card reader, a couple of USB ports, a headphone jack, an HDMI port and also the vent for letting hot air out.
Toshiba Satellite C75D-C7232 Specs
The screen on this laptop has a resolution of 1600 x 900 pixels. This is better than the regular HD and should make up for the extra real estate the laptop provides. This may not be that impressive in terms of sheer specs, but you will have a good time with it.
The screen can be used for watching movies, streaming TV shows, and much more. You can also use this widescreen display to boost your productivity. For example, you can run two windows side by side and work on them at the same time. This is possible, and we’ll have to credit the big display for it.
In case you were wondering, there is no touch capability here.
The processor that powers this Toshiba Satellite C75D-C7232 model is an AMD A6 7310 chip. This quad-core processor clocks at 2.0GHz and is more than enough for all your everyday usage. There is turbo functionality, and it will act once there is a need for more power.
The processor gets a CPUMark score of 2629 which is not that bad. You can do a lot of light stuff with this processor if you are a home user or even a student.
The memory in this laptop is made of 6 gigs of DDR3 type RAM. This RAM will allow you to do some splendid multitasking. You can run more than one applications at a given time, have multiple tabs open in your browser, and do much more.
There is no dedicated graphics card in the Toshiba Satellite C75D-C7232. You get the integrated AMD Radeon R4 graphics, and that will do okay for casual games. You can even play games like League of Legends and such. But you might have a lot of luck with games like Fallout 4 and other similar titles. Even with reduced settings, the frame rates will make that experience not the great.
The 750GB 5400RPM gives you enough space to load all your data. Though this is sufficient space, we suggest you to take a backup of important files on a cloud server just to avoid any mishaps. With time, you will see that this drive becomes even slower. To improve the performance, try to add an SSD while you can.
The operating system in this notebook is Windows 10. With features like Cortana, Edge, Xbox Streaming, Continuum, and much more, this new operating system will keep you busy (in a good way).
The battery life is decent on this laptop. You might get around 4.5 hours with light to medium usage. But the capacity of the battery really depends on the user, though.
Toshiba Satellite C75D-C7232 Review: Verdict
The Toshiba Satellite C75D-C7232 is a neat laptop with an enormous screen. The big screen makes this laptop a neat choice for media consumption and also for work. The processor and memory components provide you enough power to go through your day. If you are in need of a 17.3-inch laptop, then this one is a very good selection.
